The main goal of the kindergarten is to instill the Orthodox Christian spirit in our children, by fostering a love for the history, culture, and traditions of the Russian nation and the Russian Orthodox Church.

The kindergarten is geared towards Russian-speaking 4 to 6 year olds. Lessons are conducted in Russian. We utilize materials from Russia and materials developed by our faculty.  The following topics are taught in the kindergarten:

  • Reading and speaking
  • Math and logic
  • Music, singing, dance and art
  • Core Elements of Orthodox Culture (for the older group only)

The children are heavily involved in various holidays including the following:

  • Yolka (the Christmas pageant)
  • Cheesefare
  • Pascha (specifically the children’s holiday)
